As a Notary Public, we can issue your Los Angeles County marriage license to you, on the spot. California is the only state where this is allowed. Not all Notaries can issue a marriage license and it is a privilege to do so.

The license we issue does have a few restrictions. The Wedding must be in Los Angeles County, both parties must be at least 18 years old and everyone must have a valid ID. State issued Drivers license / ID card or a Passport from any nation. Valid ID can not be expired.
If you let your passport expire you will have to get it renewed at your consulate prior to us issuing the marriage license. The same is true with your State ID or DL it has to be renewed if you want to get married.
So often couples do not have proper ID and we can not stress that enough that you must get married prior to your ID expiring. Also, both the Bride and Groom must be present. We can not marry you over the phone. Proxy marriage & prison phone marriages are NOT legal and if anyone tells you it is in California they are taking your money for nothing. The marriage is not valid in that case.
We issue licenses for couples we marry as well as those getting married elsewhere.
